In recent months, Pinto & Cruz Energia e Sistemas has been carrying out renovation work on the air conditioning and ventilation network of the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Unit at the Porto University Hospital Centre.

This work consisted of the supply and installation of 6 air conditioning units, wall-mounted monosplit type, one in the entrance hall with a power of 3.5 kW and the rest in five cabinets with a power of 2 kW.

As for the ventilation system, a heating battery was added to the fresh air treatment unit (UTAN) so that we have a heating/cooling air conditioning system. A new network of supply ducts was created and the extraction network of the system in question was redesigned, thus allowing us to have a properly air-conditioned space.

In addition to this work, nine air conditioning units were supplied and installed for the Clinical Hematology + Blood Donor Service.

Wall-mounted monosplit equipment was used, four with a power of 2.5 kW, four with a power of 3.5 kW and one with a power of 10 kW. These replaced air conditioning equipment with R22 refrigerant fluid, a fluid that is already prohibited from being used on the market.
